MONICA LEE
My name is Monica Lee, I was born in Cedar City, Utah but spend most of my childhood in South Jordan where my family currently resides. I am the oldest of six children, four girls and two boys at the end. I graduated from Herriman High school in 2016, but while I was in high school I also completed a Pharmacy Technician program through the Jordan Applied Technology Center on the Salt Lake Community Campus. It was during this year program and included externship experiences that I realized that Pharmacy was not the direction that I wanted to go. I really enjoyed learning about the function of medication and the human body but didn’t love working in the technician capacity. I was really glad that they gave us the opportunity to work for 180 hours in the Pharmacy so that I could have this realization before I pursued it any further as a career. Since coming to Southern Utah University I have declared my major as Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing and Illustration. One of the biggest reasons that I have chosen to further my education is just being able to have access to so many different learning experiences, I really enjoy learning new things and I feel like I am given an opportunity to that everyday on Campus. I also love graphic design and would love to be working in a field where I can be creating all the time and SUU helps me do that as well.
